As soon as I downloaded Fortnite in 2018, I vowed never to buy a skin. Those sly dogs at Epic Games couldn't get me to spend real American dollars on something purely cosmetic in an otherwise free game. I was better than that, I thought. If I wanted a skin that badly, I'd just grind enough free V-Bucks from Battle Passes. I have self-control and a hard work ethic. I would not succumb. Amen, I say

Elle Fanning in an alien costume in

Elle Fanning had a banner 2025, showing her range in everything from Dan Trachtenberg's sci-fi banger Predator: Badlands to Joachim Trier's family drama Sentimental Value. (Her performance in the latter earned her an Oscar nomination.)

Fanning's 2026 is shaping up to be strong as well, as she is set to lead Apple TV's highly anticipated adaptation of Rufi Thorpe's Margo's Got Money Troubles, from A24 and David E. Kelley (Big Little Lies, Presumed Innocent). Now, we've got our first-look teaser for the show.

Fanning stars as Margo, a single mother and college dropout with too many expenses and not enough money to pay for them. To make ends meet, she turns to OnlyFans, where she racks up a considerable following thanks to her eccentric alien persona. The teaser grants us our first glimpse of Margo's alien alter ego, complete with all-green skin.

Supporting Margo on her journey are her father, Jinx (Nick Offerman), and mother, Shyanne (Michelle Pfeiffer). A former pro wrestler, Jinx offers Margo tips to help her build her following. Based on the teaser, it seems like Shyanne is taking more of a tough love approach. When a heavily pregnant Margo collapses while shopping, Shyanne hits her with an exasperated cry of, "There are no victims in Bloomingdale's."

Marcia Gay Harden, Greg Kinnear, Michael Angarano, Rico Nasty, and Lindsey Normington also star.
