Director Damien Chazelle's "Babylon" is now available to watch from the comfort of your living room. The Hollywood epic is included with a Paramount Plus streaming subscription, and you can also opt to buy it from retailers like Amazon

Set in the late 1920s, "Babylon" focuses on multiple characters as they try to succeed in Hollywood during the transition from silent movies to sound films. As the characters attempt to stay on top, the movie examines the excess and depravity lurking behind all the era's glitz and glamour.

"Babylon" features an ensemble cast led by Margot Robbie, Brad Pitt, Diego Calva, Jean Smart ,Jovan Adepo, and Li Jun Li. The film is written and directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Damien Chazelle, whose previous credits include "First Man," "La La Land," and "Whiplash."

How to watch 'Babylon'

"Babylon" is now available to watch with a Paramount Plus subscription. You can also buy the movie through streaming retailers like Amazon, Vudu, and Apple TV

Paramount Plus is the cheapest option to stream "Babylon." The service costs $5 a month with ads or $10 a month without ads. Both plans offer access to the platform's full library of movies and shows.

If you'd prefer to pay a one-time fee to watch "Babylon" rather than subscribe to Paramount Plus, you can buy a digital copy of the move for $20. Once you purchase the film, you can stream it whenever you like. A cheaper rental option is expected to launch on March 7.

"Babylon" has been met with polarizing reviews. As of February 21, the movie has a "56%" on Rotten Tomatoes. Some critics praise the movie for its performances and stunning visuals, while others find its overstuffed story to be too messy and chaotic.

In his full review, Insider Entertainment Reporter Eammon Jacobs applauded the movie's impressive style, but said that "it starts to buckle under the weight of its own ambition."

Despite the mixed reception, "Babylon" has earned several awards and nominations. It's up for three Oscars at the 2023 Academy Awards, including best production design, best costume design, and best score.
