- Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene went off the rails during an intel briefing, a report said.
- She shouted expletives during the briefing on a Chinese spy balloon, the report claimed.
- Greene has sought to score political points from Biden handling of the situation.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene screamed profanities at intelligence officials when they briefed lawmakers about a spy balloon China flew over the US, The Hill reported.
A lawmaker, who was not named, told the outlet that as the officials were providing information about the incident in a closed door briefing Thursday, Greene yelled expletives, and acted in a way that was "irrational."
"When she got to ask questions," the lawmaker told the outlet, "she was yelling out saying 'bullshit,' and, you know, 'I don't believe you.'"
"Just screaming and yelling, irrational in my estimation," the lawmaker said.
Greene, a Georgia Republican and prominent member of the party's far-right faction, confirmed the incident to the outlet, and said she "gave 'em hell."
"I had to wait in line the whole time. I was I think the second to last person, and I chewed them out just like the American people would've," Greene told The Hill.
Insider has reached out to Greene's office for comment.
When reports emerged last week that a Chinese spy balloon had been detected flying over the US, Greene criticised President Joe Biden's response and called for him to order the balloon to be shot down immediately.
Before Biden's State of the Union address on Tuesday, Greene, whose political brand is built around provocations and stunts, posed with a white balloon in Congress.
The military waited until the balloon was flying off the coast of South Carolina before an Air Force jet shot it down on February 4 and US officials began collecting the debris.
