If you've ever read tabloids or Los Angeles restaurant guides, you're probably familiar with famed restaurant Nobu.

Celebrities aren't shy about their love for the Japanese restaurant, which now has locations around the world from Malibu, California to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

But the Nobu brand — founded by Chef Nobu Matsuhisa, actor Robert De Niro, and film producer Meir Teper — isn't just known for its sashimi and black cod with miso.

It also has a collection of global hotels.

And soon, these properties could be just as recognizable as its restaurant counterparts.

The famed Japanese eatery began venturing into the hotel business in 2013 with the opening of its 182-room Nobu Hotel Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

A decade later, the chain now has 16 locations around the world from London to Warsaw.

And this growth isn't stopping. When all of its in-progress developments are complete, Nobu Hotels will have doubled its portfolio to 33 open locations.

The hospitality company currently has 18 projects in its pipeline that will open over the next few years in locations like Tulum, Mexico, Orlando, Florida, and Danang, Vietnam.

This mass growth begins this year. In 2023, Nobu Hotels wants to open five new locations.

By the end of 2023, travelers will be able to stay in Nobu Hotels in Rome; Atlantic City, New Jersey; San Sebastian, Spain; and Toronto.

And on Monday, Nobu launched its first new hotel of this year in Marrakech, Morocco.

This new property is the brand's first hotel in Africa.

Inside, it's a fusion of Marrakech's local art and culture with Nobu's recognizable modern Japanese flair.

The hotel houses 71 suites across three floors.

These hotel rooms span from its 44 495-square-foot junior suites to its one almost 2,370-square-foot Nobu suite penthouse.

And it wouldn't be a Nobu hotel without a Nobu restaurant and bar …

… which accompanies another rooftop restaurant serving local food and sushi, of course.

This rooftop is also where guests will find a circular outdoor pool with panoramic views of the city.

But for a more relaxing retreat, Nobu Hotels Marrakech also has the brand's largest spa, which spans about 2,370 square feet.

This luxury will run travelers at least $430 a night.
