Amex Centurion Lounges are widely considered to be the best domestic airport lounges in existence. You can only enter them if you've got one of the following credit cards:
The Platinum Card® from American Express - Product Name Only The Business Platinum Card® from American Express - Product Name Only Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card - Product Name Only Delta SkyMiles® Reserve Business American Express Card - Product Name Only - American Express Centurion Card
These lounges offer free food (proper meals, not just chips and guac), free mixed drinks, free high-speed internet, and more. They even offer bathroom stalls with heavy wooden doors that go all the way to the ground — a seriously underrated perk, in my opinion. Amex is an Insider partner.
Beyond food, each Centurion Lounge offers slightly different amenities (wine tasting, pool table, free massages, children's play areas, etc.). As of February 15, 2023, the Centurion Lounge inside the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport has a new location with nearly 10,000 more square feet. And it's got an amenity that no other lounge has.
We're focused here on the rewards and perks that come with each card. These cards won't be worth it if you're paying interest or late fees. When using a credit card, it's important to pay your balance in full each month, make payments on time, and only spend what you can afford to pay.
New and improved Centurion Lounge at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport
By Centurion Lounge standards, the Seattle Centurion Lounge was previously less-than-spacious. At around 4,000 square feet, it's been the smallest lounge in the network.
This new Centurion Lounge is significantly bigger, clocking in at nearly 14,000 square feet. It's located in the Central Terminal inside security on the mezzanine level. Views from the massive windowed wall are of the airfield and the Olympic Mountains.
This lounge will have all the usuals of a Centurion Lounge, such as a full-service bar and hot meals inspired by its locale. You'll find a "Seattle Soul" menu by James Beard Award semifinalist Kristi Brown. Menu items to expect are Trinidadian spiced pork belly, blackened chicken cobb salad, and "Peach Cobbla" french toast.
However, this lounge brings to the table something no other Centurion Lounge offers: A full-service coffee bar, dubbed "Blue Roast by American Express." Baristas will be serving things like:
- Cold brew
- Rotating seasonal specialty coffee drinks from Caffè Umbria, a local Seattle roaster
- Various espresso beverages
- Smoothies made to order
- Kombucha on tap
- Other healthy bites
