The film follows Evelyn Wang (Michelle Yeoh), a no-nonsense Chinese immigrant who runs a struggling laundromat with her husband and adult daughter. In the midst of marital problems and an IRS audit, she suddenly finds herself at the center of a multiverse conflict that spans parallel realities. Evelyn must jump across dimensions to save the world and, most importantly, her family.
