IHG hotels are ... everywhere. Even if you aren't familiar with IHG, you've almost certainly stayed with the hotel chain before. Brands like Holiday Inn, Candlewood Suites, Staybridge Suites, and InterContinental Hotels are all under the IHG umbrella.
There are over 6,000 IHG properties around the world. That's why the new limited-time bonus from the

We're focused here on the rewards and perks that come with each card. These cards won't be worth it if you're paying interest or late fees. When using a credit card, it's important to pay your balance in full each month, make payments on time, and only spend what you can afford to pay.
The new IHG Business Card bonus is worth $1,000+ in travel
The
IHG award nights in the US tend to cost 10,000 points or more (you can find sub-10,000 point rates abroad in areas like Mexico, Southeast Asia, India, etc.).
For example, the Staybridge Suites Columbus - Worthington costs 13,000 points per night — but that same room would cost $99. That gives you a value of 0.76 cents per point. If you were to use this welcome bonus in a similar manner, you'd get a value of $1,254 in hotel stays.
Or, you could choose to redeem your points at a fancier (and much more expensive) hotel for even greater value. For example, the InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort costs a whopping 120,000 points per night — but you'll pay $1,153 for the same room. That gives you a value of 0.96 cents per point. By using your welcome bonus for a value like this, you'll get a value of $1,585.
This card also has a special power that makes your points worth even more. When you book a stay of at least four consecutive award nights, you'll get the fourth award night free. So, if you were to book the aforementioned Staybridge Suite Columbus — Worthington for four nights, you could pay just 39,000 points (instead of 52,000 points) — giving you a value of 1.01 cents per point.
The IHG Rewards Business Card is worth keeping year after year
The
For example, the card offers:
- An annual free night award worth up to 40,000 points (you can also add IHG points to this certificate to book more expensive hotels)
- Up to $50 in United TravelBank Cash each calendar year (which can be used for United Airlines airfare)
- 10,000 bonus points and a $100 statement credit each calendar year you spend $20,000 on purchases and make one additional purchase
- Automatic IHG Platinum Elite status, which comes with things like room upgrades (based on availability), late checkout, 60% bonus points on paid bookings, etc.
- Global Entry, TSA PreCheck, or NEXUS application fee credit (up to $100 credit every four years)
If you're calculated, you could quite easily get $500 in value each year from these benefits. Just remember that this is a small business credit card, so you'll need some kind of business venture to be eligible to apply. Even with activities like dog sitting on Rover or delivering with DoorDash you can qualify for a small business credit card.
