LinkedIn cofounder Reid Hoffman told CNBC the call for an AI slow down is a "mistaken effort."
Hoffman said some people are issuing the warning in order to catch up with the technology.
He said Elon Musk has an "it's only great if I do it" mentality when it comes to ChatGPT.
