  • Singapore Airlines currently operates the world's longest flight, from New York to Singapore. 
  • The longest non-stop flight in 2023 represents a 32% range increase compared to the longest in 1997.
  • Qantas hopes to set a new record in 2025 with a London to Sydney route. 

When Qantas debuts its Project Sunrise flights it will set a new record for the longest non-stop flight in the world. 

The route  — over 19 hours long, connecting Heathrow Airport in London to Sydney — will be 11% longer than the current longest flight, which connects Singapore to New York and is operated by Singapore Airlines, 

Singapore Airlines has long been a leader in ultra-long-haul flights, having operated the longest one for 16 out of the past 27 years.
