  • Germany-based Marchi Mobile has designed what it says is the most luxurious RV in the world.
  • All it needs is to find a buyer who's willing to pay more than $1 million for it.
  • Marchi Mobile is the design-forward truck arm of Marchi Group, which specializes in building corporate vehicles.

Germany-based Marchi Mobile has big bold plans for what could be one of the most luxurious RVs in the world. All it needs is to find a buyer.

About 15 years ago, Marchi Group — which has been building vehicles for corporate clients since 2002 — decided to pursue its co-founder and CEO Mario Marchi's passion of design-forward trucks and RVs via a new arm, Marchi Mobile. And these designs are definitely a marvel in a mobile home world full of Winnebagos and Airstreams.

The bulk of Marchi Group's work is in the healthcare sector with vehicles like blood donation trucks and mobile labs, Juliane Marchi, the CMO and co-founder of Marchi Mobile, told Insider.

For context, Juliane Marchi and Mario Marchi are a husband-wife team.

Sure, mobile hospitals sound nothing like luxury RVs.

But that's because its "design truck" and RV segment was created more as "a fun idea and not something where we saw a huge market," Marchi said.

In the past, these trucks have included showrooms on wheels and VIP passenger shuttles.

Its luxurious RVs are a passion project for the company. A multi-million-dollar one that takes about a year-and-a-half to build, at that.

"If someone decides to buy such a recreational vehicle, they always go all out," she said. We're talking about fully customized tricked-out homes on wheels.

Because of this, Marchi has never built an RV identical to the two models on its website.

Its two designs are the "eleMMent Palazzo Exclusive" and the "eleMMent Palazzo Superior," the latter being the more decked-out version.

Let's take a look.

The website bills this beast of an RV as the "most luxurious mobile home in the world." And it's easy to see why.

The company's design has this 45-foot-long home sitting on a Volvo chassis.

If made according to Marchi's specs, the home on wheels' walls would be as insulated as an overlanding vehicle.

But for warmer travels, there's also a platform that can be raised above the ceiling, creating a small roof deck. This comes complete with outdoor furniture, a canopy, heated floors, and built-in lights and speakers.

It's a popular feature even in Marchi's custom-built vehicles.

Most prominently, the panoramic windshield looks more like a submarine or helicopter cockpit than a vehicle.

This design is a callback to Luigi Colani's concept trucks, which also featured a bulbous windshield.

Inside, the RV is ultra-opulent.

If it's not obvious yet, this isn't the average RV — this is a mansion on wheels.

The model has over 730 square-feet of space in the form of a kitchen, a living room, bathrooms, and a primary bedroom.

The bedroom can casually fit a king bed, extra storage like closets, a desk, and a television. Because sometimes, one television in the living room just isn't enough.

With a wine cabinet, ice maker, and 13-foot-long couch, the Superior's amenities outshine most mobile homes.

And in true luxury, different rooms in the RV can be set at different temperatures.

The "spa area" next to the bathroom is finished with a rainfall shower an what the automaker calls "light therapy."

The other bathroom located across from the kitchen — which separates the living room from the bedroom — has a sink and toilet.

If this all sounds almost too good to be true, you'd be right.

Marchi has only sold about 10 of its Marchi Mobile "design trucks" over the last approximately 15 years. These include showrooms and passenger shuttles, like the one shown above, ranging from $1.5 million to a little under $2 million, according to Marchi.

But none have been orders for the exact Superior model.

At most, clients will use it as inspiration.

"I'm almost certain nobody will ever [purchase the Superior] because every customer in that price range approaches us with unique ideas of what to do inside," Marchi said. If it were to be built, she says the company's RVs could end up going for about $2 million to $2.5 million.

Let's not forget, most of Marchi's work efforts are directed at the more general Marchi Group, not Marchi Mobile.

And since orders for healthcare-related vehicles took off during the COVID-19 pandemic, the company essentially pumped the brakes on Mario Marchi's passion for luxurious design trucks, according to Juliane Marchi. That's understandable: Marchi Group is building around 30 or 40 units a year.

But that doesn't mean we can't ogle over what could someday be the most luxurious RV to hit the roads.
