Threads to launch web version, one of its largest updates yet

• Threads, X's main competitor, will introduce a web version soon, WSJ reported.
• The web-based Threads is being tested internally, according to Instagram head Adam Mosseri. 
• Threads' usership has been dropping steadily since it launched this summer.

Threads, Meta's text-based app that directly competes with X, formerly Twitter, is unveiling its newest feature early this week — a web version.
