Apple launched the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max during its "Wonderlust" event on Tuesday, alongside the standard iPhone 15 models. The iPhone 15 Pro starts at $999, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max starts at $1,199.
The iPhone 15 Pro models will be available to preorder on September 15 from Apple, and available to buy from Apple and other retailers on September 22.

iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max: release date
The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will be available for preorder on September 15 from Apple.
They'll be officially released and available to buy online and in stores starting on September 22.
iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max: new features
As we've come to expect based on Apple's usual pattern for iPhone upgrades, it's the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max which have the bulk of the upgrades compared to the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.
Like the standard iPhone 15 models, however, the iPhone 15 Pro models swap Lightning for USB-C charging and data transfers. The iPhone 15 Pro models, specifically, support faster USB 3 speeds.
The upgrades to the iPhone 15 Pro models include a lighter titanium frame with a brushed metal aesthetic with new contoured edges, thinner display bezels, the A17 Pro processor, and improved repairability with back glass panels that are more easily removable.

The iPhone 15 Pro models come in "black titanium, white titanium, blue titanium, and natural titanium," as Apple lists the colorways.
The iPhone 15 Pro phones feature an improved 48MP camera with a larger sensor and three focal length options, an improved 12MP upgraded ultrawide camera, and a new 12MP 5x periscope zoom lens Apple calls "tetra prism" with 120mm focal length exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max also received a new customizable Action Button that replaces the iPhone's signature and iconic ring/silent switch. The new Action Button offers similar functionality as the Apple Watch Ultra's Action Button, where it lets you customize its function, like launching the Camera app or flashlight.
