Methodology: How We Chose the Best Credit Cards for Streaming Services

We're focused here on the rewards and perks that come with each card. These cards won't be worth it if you're paying interest or late fees. When using a credit card, it's important to pay your balance in full each month, make payments on time, and only spend what you can afford to pay.

A few credit cards offer statement credits for spending on streaming. Others provide entirely free subscriptions to select streaming services. These cards are included in this post.

A number of credit cards provide an incredible return rate for streaming purchases. We've also included these cards. Below are the best credit cards with streaming-specific benefits. They've got a mix of valuable bonuses, excellent bonus categories, valuable ongoing benefits, and an annual fee that is reasonably proportional to the value you can achieve each year.

Why you should trust our recommendations

Insider's cards team does not communicate with the business team about which cards are profitable for the site and which are not. We don't hard sell cards because we genuinely want you to find the best one for your situation. We'll tell you when a credit card is a great deal, and we'll steer you away from cards that are predatory or subpar.

Credit card for streaming services frequently asked questions

Are credit cards for streaming services worth it?

The best credit cards for streaming are worth it only if you can squeeze value from other credit card benefits. Because streaming services probably don't make up a large portion of your monthly spending, perks surrounding this expense aren't reason enough to open a card. However, you could easily save hundreds of dollars per year by using credit cards that provide statement credits or free subscriptions as a perk.

Is there a credit card specifically for streaming services?

There is no co-branded credit card designed specifically for streaming purchases.

Do credit card streaming credits expire?

Streaming credits offered by credit cards do expire. For example, if your card awards credits monthly, they'll expire at the end of the month. In other words, you can't accrue your credits for a few months and use them to purchase an annual subscription for free. If you don't use them, you lose them.
