Average 30-year mortgage rates continue to hover right around 7%, ticking up just a few basis points overall this week, according to Freddie Mac.

Even this week's CPI data release didn't seem to have much of an impact on rates. On Wednesday, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that prices rose 3.7% year over year in August. This is a slight increase from July, due to an increase in gas prices.
