There are three major trends driving this: A change in mindset from ownership to accessibility; a growing interest in sustainability by using only what you need; and an increasing demand from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) who have seen the benefits to larger corporations. The providers that understand these customer needs and most seamlessly design, deploy, and manage the right solutions will lead the pack.

Lenovo was an early mover, leveraging its TruScale Infrastructure Brand to launch the TruScale EaaS platform in 2021. TruScale provides everything from pocket to cloud through a single contract framework. Crucially, it provides the solutions and technologies for customers to meet unanticipated changes in the ever-changing digital landscape. Focusing on AI

With 17 global R&D centers and over 33,000 patents, Lenovo has consistently been at the forefront of innovation. Lenovo is the first PC and smartphone maker to be validated by the Science Based Targets initiative. By 2025, Lenovo aims to obtain 90% of its global operations' electricity from renewable sources and achieve a 50% improvement in the energy efficiency of desktops and servers. They're also striving to remove one million metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions from their supply chain annually.

Lenovo's revolutionary Neptune cooling technology improves energy efficiency and reduces emissions. While the EaaS model also helps optimize resources, eliminate duplication, inefficiency, and excess. But emissions aren't the only problem — the technology industry produces 53 megatons of e-waste every year, but is recycling less than 20%. Lenovo has been reinventing the supply chain, and by 2025, 100% of its PC products and 90% of its PC plastic packaging will contain closed-loop, post-consumer recycled materials.
