Jeff Bezos' fiancée, Lauren Sanchez, says the Amazon founder proposed by hiding a ring under her pillow.

Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez —your favorite tech titan-helicopter pilot power couple — got engaged months ago, and now they're sharing the story of how it happened.

Sanchez, a broadcast journalist-turned-chopper pilot, spilled the deets in a Vogue article published Monday.

Bezos popped the question earlier this year by hiding the ring under Sanchez's pillow after an intimate dinner, according to the article. At bedtime, sans makeup, Sanchez noticed the ring.

"When he opened the box, I think I blacked out a bit," she told Vogue.

News broke in May that Bezos and Sanchez had gotten engaged.

The pair's relationship became public knowledge in January 2019, when The National Enquirer published leaked messages between them, shortly after Bezos and ex-wife MacKenzie Scott announced they were divorcing.

Bezos and Sanchez have linked their work in recent years.

Sanchez is vice chair of the Bezos Earth Fund, her fiancée's $10 billion commitment to combating climate change, and her aerial production company shoots the promotional material for Bezos' aerospace company, Blue Origin. She also plans to lead an all-woman mission with Blue Origin next year.

This summer, the couple has spent a lot of time traveling aboard Bezos' new $500 million yacht.

Sanchez told Vogue she's "looking forward to being Mrs. Bezos."

The story didn't divulge any details as to when the wedding might be.

"We're still thinking about the wedding," she said. "Is it going to be big? Is it going to be overseas? We don't know yet. We've only been engaged five months!"
