Mortgage rates have taken a nosedive over the past few weeks as the economy continues to show signs of slowing.

Average 30-year mortgage rates fell to 7.44% this week, the lowest they've been since late September, according to Freddie Mac. Average 15-year mortgage rates are also down, hitting 6.76%.
