Apple's original headquarters, often referred to as "the mothership," was located in Cupertino, California, at the famous address 1 Infinite Loop. "Infinite Loop" is a reference to a computer program that will continue over and over again until forced to stop.
The campus consisted of six buildings — 1 through 6 Infinite Loop — ringed around an oval-shaped courtyard. While co-founder Steve Jobs reportedly was not a fan of the campus, he would often take his famous walking meetings in its courtyard.
