Five people on board a Japan Coast Guard aircraft at Tokyo's Haneda airport were killed Tuesday after it collided with a Japan Airlines passenger plane, which subsequently erupted into flames, police say.

JAL said that its plane, which had arrived from New Chitose Airport in Sapporo on Tuesday evening local time, appeared to have collided with the Coast Guard aircraft after landing, NHK reported.
