Apple Wallet stores your credit cards and allows you to make mobile payments using Apple Pay.

Some states even allow you to store a digital version of your driver's license in Apple Wallet.

People tend to talk about Apple Pay and Apple Wallet as one and the same thing, but that's not quite true.

While Apple Pay is a mobile payment service you can use to make purchases from various Apple devices, Apple Wallet is the app that holds your credit cards and allows you to actually use Apple Pay to make purchases.
