Haley Omeasoo became a forensic anthropologist to help the families of missing and murdered Indigenous people.
She saw the problem firsthand growing up on the Blackfeet Reservation in Montana.
She hopes to open a dedicated lab tribes in Montana can use to investigate MMIP cases.
In the Blackfoot language, "ohkomi" means "to use one's voice."
