- Rep. Lauren Boebert recently announced she's switching congressional districts in Colorado.
- It could lead to a competitive GOP primary, and voters may reject her carpetbagging.
- But she's already locked up the support of Speaker Mike Johnson and the national party.
Rep. Lauren Boebert recently announced that she's running in a district far from her own home in Colorado — and it's now clear that national GOP leadership is on board with her plan.
House Speaker Mike Johnson endorsed Boebert's reelection campaign on Wednesday, calling the Colorado Republican a "relentless force for conservative governance" in a statement.
The National Republican Campaign Committee is also backing her reelection campaign, a spokesperson confirmed to Business Insider.
