The Geneva International Motor Show is one of the world's biggest car exhibitions — but until a couple of weeks ago, it had been on a five-year hiatus.

After the pandemic scuppered the event in 2020, 2021, and 2022, last year, its organizers held a special one-off version in Qatar rather than Switzerland.

But auto enthusiasts were back in force for this year's show in Geneva, where the latest models from the likes of China's BYD and Renault were on display.

Electric cars were again in the spotlight. While sales growth might be slowing in the US, it's ramping up in Europe, where the EV market grew 62% last year, per World Economic Forum figures.
