In early February 2023, sailors assigned to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Group 2 recovered a high-altitude surveillance balloon off the coast of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina (pictured above). Just over a year later, fishermen off Alaska's coast on Friday found another potential spy balloon (not pictured), which will be delivered to the FBI for further study.
