Qatar Airways unveiled an upgraded version of QSuite, its business-class product, at the Farnborough Airshow on Monday.

"We're happy and sad at the same time," said CEO Badr Mohammed Al Meer. "Happy to know that something we developed years ago is still the benchmark in our industry, and sad because we were expecting someone else to come and raise the benchmark."

"However, our team decided to take matters in their own hands," he added. "They have decided to come and raise the benchmark once again."

The Doha-based carrier won Skytrax's best airline and best business class awards in June. QSuite Next Gen aims to build on that success with wider suites and a new face-to-face seating configuration.
