Tom and Maria are one of the last couples to get engaged in "Love Is Blind: UK," and they split at the end of the season.
Tom, 38, a PR and advertising consultant from London begins dating Maria, 30, a makeup artist from Southampton, England, in episode two of "Love Is Blind: UK," a spin-off of the hugely popular dating show "Love Is Blind."
In "Love Is Blind: UK," contestants from the UK and Ireland date through isolated pods where they can't see who they are speaking to. This forces them to bond over personality rather than looks.
Tom and Maria quickly build a strong connection, but Tom also bonds with another contestant, Natasha. In episode four, Tom decides that Maria is the one for him and proposes to her.
Tom and Maria progress over the next few episodes, but they quarrel over cultural differences.
In episode six, Maria calls Tom judgmental for saying he would think less of people because of what job they have. In episodes eight and nine, the pair also argue after Maria tells him that men should always pay on the first few dates.
Tom and Maria make it to their wedding in episode 10, but Tom leaves Maria at the altar, saying their values are too different.
At the reunion, the pair confirm they are no longer together, and there seems to be some tension.
The pair no longer follow each other on Instagram, which could mean they are no longer friends.
Maria and Tom appear to be single now
Contestants often hide their relationships on social media before the season finale to avoid spoilers, and there aren't many clues about Tom and Maria's their relationship status on Instagram.
But neither has posted about any new relationships since the reunion aired, which may mean they are still single.
On August 26, Tom shared a reflection about his time on the show on his Instagram story and ended the statement with "dating apps still suck dickā¦" suggesting that he is still looking for love.
"Love Is Blind: UK" season one is available to watch on Netflix.
