Odds are, if you're in the Apple ecosystem, you're at least curious if AirPods are worth checking out.
Prime Day is a great time to satisfy that curiosity. This year, the mega-sale will last four days, from July 8 to July 11. But after years of covering the sale, the Mashable shopping team knows that the run-up can often bring deals worth shopping ahead of time.
So far, we've seen some AirPods deals worth checking out after a slow start. While the AirPods Pros are still down at $199 (the price they're at nearly year-round), the AirPods Maxes have dropped well below $500.
Beyond that, there's a modest deal on the AirPods 4, but we're anticipating to see even better deals the closer Prime Day gets — historically, Amazon sales bring at least decent, if not great, deals on AirPods. The AirPods Max are expensive, but they have an iconic design, lossless audio, generally great audio quality, and impressive ANC. Still, with other premium options sitting at $100 below the Maxes $550 asking price, it can be hard to justify actually purchasing them.
Which is why it's great when you can catch them on sale. We've seen a few modest $50 price drops on these headphones, but slightly less common is this $69 price drop down to $480. While this price doesn't quite reach record-low status — that'd be $450 — it's still a pretty solid deal available on every single colorway ahead of Prime Day.
