NEAR-MARKET VALUE: As of Oct. 23, the Pokémon TCG Mega Evolution three-pack blister is $29.89 at Amazon, a rare instance of Pokémon TCG selling for near market value compared to TCGplayer.
Looking for your Mega Evolution fix? Given that Phantasmal Flames is just around the corner, it's getting a little crazy out there keeping up with new Pokémon TCG sets. Whilst Amazon are currently charging way above market value for sealed product, Mega Evolution three-pack blisters are down to near market value at $29.89, compared to $28.50 on TCGplayer.
I'd still recommend putting that extra dollar in your pocket with TCGplayer, seeing Amazon behave themselves with pricing is nice to see. It's not MSRP, but it's going in the right direction. Remember, TCGplayer is supposed to be more expensive as it's a secondary collectors market. So if big box retailers are being shown up by TCGplayer, it's a very sad state of affairs.
Most valuable Mega Evolution Pokémon cards
If you fancy saving more Pokédollars long term, I'd highly recommend just buying the single Pokémon cards you've been chasing instead. It's more money upfront in some cases, but with Mega Evolution enhanced booster boxes going for around $260 right now, you could get some of the top chase cards instead. Trust me, a couple of booster boxes don't guarantee ridiculously valuable pulls:
