SAVE OVER $10: As of Oct. 23, the Mega Evolution Mega Latias ex Box is $29.99 at TCGplayer, compared to $40.59 on Amazon.
Looking for your Mega Evolution fix? Phantasmal Flames is just around the corner, but Mega Evolution stocks are flowing. And in all honesty it's showing how much big box retailers like Amazon are over-charging for Pokémon TCG products right now. TCGplayer is selling the Mega Evolution Mega Latias ex Box for $29.99 right now — that's $10.60 cheaper than Amazon's $40.59 listing.
Inside you'll find two Mega Evolution boosters, one Destined Rivals, and one Journey Together. There's also a promo Mega Latias ex card and a jumbo version, the latter of which are my guilty pleasure. Mega Latias ex is a very cool card to build a deck around. Its Strife attack deals 40 damage and swaps out with a benched Pokémon for one colorless energy, with Illusory Impulse dealing 300 damage and a full energy discard. It's also a basic Pokémon card, so this can be played straight onto a players bench for quick results.

But with Mega Evolution enhanced booster boxes going for around $260 right now, trainers would likely save money paying out for their chase card.
