If you're a fan of sandwiches, today is your day. Monday, Nov. 3, is National Sandwich Day (yes, that's a thing), which means you could have a free or discounted sandwich for lunch or dinner (or both).

Personally, I celebrate my love for sandwiches at least once a week, but today they get the national attention they deserve in the form of some very tempting deals from restaurants you know and love. If you're looking to participate in the hand-held holiday, check out some of the best freebies and discounts we found below. After all, it only makes sense to save some bread on National Sandwich Day (sorry).

National Sandwich Day deals

Capriotti’s

Rewards members can buy one, get one 50% off on all turkey subs on Nov. 3 only.

Firehouse Subs

  • Customers can score a free medium Core 4 sub with a purchase of $15 or more on Nov. 3 in the Firehouse App or on the website. The offer is valid on both pickup and delivery orders. Core 4 subs include Hook & Ladder, Firehouse Meatball, Turkey & Provolone, or Italian.

  • Firehouse Rewards members can also score 25% off any sub on the Firehouse App or website through Nov. 30.

  • DoorDash users can save 50% on Hook & Ladder, Firehouse Meatball, Smoked Turkey, or Italian subs.

Jersey Mike’s Subs

Jersey Mike’s Subs customers can enjoy free delivery (where delivery is available) on Nov. 3 when ordering on the website or in the Jersey Mike's app.

Jimmy John’s

Rewards members can get a Picklewich for 50% off with the code TOASTED when they order a toasted sandwich on the Jimmy John's app or website on Nov. 3. The code can only be used once at participating locations while supplies last. It cannot be combined with any other deals.

McAlister’s Deli

  • McAlister's Deli rewards members can enjoy a buy one, get one 50% off all sandwiches deal between Nov. 3 and 9. New members who sign up will have the offer applied to their rewards account.

  • DoorDash users can also enjoy a buy one, get one free deal on select sandwiches at McAlister's Deli while supplies last.

Panera

Rewards members can enjoy a buy one, get one for $5 offer on whole sandwiches on Nov. 3 at participating locations. The $5 offer applies to the lower-priced item.

Penn Station East Coast Subs

  • You can get a small sub for just $4.99 on Nov. 3 at participating Penn Station East Coast Subs locations.

  • The sub chain is also running a Deals for Down Syndrome campaign, where you can donate $5 and get coupons for two free small subs. The booklet includes four offers in total valued at $20, and they are redeemable in the app and in stores through Dec. 31.

Pizza Hut

Pizza Hut customers can order a Pizza Hut Melt (Buffalo Chicken, Chicken Bacon Parmesan, Meat Lover’s, or Pepperoni Lover’s) for just $4.99 (reg. $6.99) at participating locations on National Sandwich Day and every other Monday. The offer cannot be combined with any other deals.

Popeyes

Popeyes rewards members can enjoy a free Classic, Spicy, or Smokin' Rojo Chicken Sandwich with a purchase of $10 or more through Nov. 9. While technically this deal is for National Fried Chicken Sandwich Day, which falls on Nov. 9, a sandwich is a sandwich. The offer can only be used once at participating locations and can be redeemed on both the app and website. It cannot be combined with other offers.

Potbelly

Get a free Original sandwich or wrap at Potbelly when you buy a Big or Original sandwich or wrap through the Potbelly app or website using the code BOGO.

Subway

  • MVP Rewards members can get a foot-long sub for just $1 when they buy another foot-long of equal or greater value (excluding Fresh Fit, 5 Meat Italian, and Footlong Snacks). Just use the code FOOTLONGFAN on the Subway app or at Subway.com to score the deal.

  • Customers can also enjoy a free six-inch turkey or meatball sub on orders $20 or more at Subway via DoorDash.
