Axiom Space revealed its new Moon suit yesterday during an event held at NASA’s Space Center Houston. It’s the first Moon-specific suit since the Apollo era and a key component of NASA’s Artemis program, which seeks to return humans to the Moon later this decade. Here’s what we learned about the new suit, dubbed AxEMU.
As the Axiom-2 crew prepares to take off to the International Space Station (ISS) in a few weeks from now, NASA is already looking ahead to the third private mission to the orbiting space station later this year, in a mission that will once again involve Axiom.

Update: March 15 at 9:31 a.m. ET: The Falcon 9 lifted off at 8:30 p.m. ET on March 14, carrying 6,200 pounds of cargo to the ISS. The Dragon is expected to dock at the orbital outpost on March 16 at 7:52 a.m. ET.
NASA is staying focused on the Artemis lunar program, its Moon to Mars objectives, and maintaining a presence in low Earth orbit as part of the agency’s proposed budget for 2024.
The coming week is poised to be an exciting one for rocket lovers, with no less than seven launches planned in the next seven days. It’s also the week when when finally get to see what NASA’s Artemis Moon suits will look like.
