The Brits are getting serious about deepfake porn—so serious, in fact, that if you get caught making or sharing the content in the United Kingdom it could soon get you thrown in prison.
A Texas age verification law went into effect earlier this month leading to Pornhub pulling its service from the state. This week, the porn industry wants to take this law to the U.S. Supreme Court.
A slew of conservative states have recently passed age verification laws for websites and, in response, Pornhub has gotten in the habit of shutting off service in those states rather than acquiescing to local regulations.
Pornhub already left Texas like a pizza guy hurrying back to his job after making a “special delivery” to a lonely housewife. It seems like the Lone Star State wants to drive two more popular porn sites to make a quick exit.

A 39-year-old man in the UK was sentenced to more than a year in prison on Tuesday for sending unsolicited images of his genitals to a 15-year-old girl and a woman in her 60s, according to a press release from Essex Police.
