Welcome to Saturday, friends. I'm Phil Rosen, writing to you from New York City.

I'm excited to share this week's conversation with a top strategist and her outlook for 2023 — but first I have a question for you.

Markets are closed today but the Opening Bell newsletter rings nonetheless. Phil Rosen here — good to see you.

The main thing to watch today is the March jobs report, which is due at 8:30 a.m. ET.

When markets are open, stocks often move in reaction to the report, but this time around the reaction will have to wait until Monday.

For our day off, we have a shorter edition for you. First, let's check in with Warren Buffett.

Happy Friday eve, readers. I'm Phil Rosen. As a financial journalist, I'm always trying to distill complex ideas into plain language (for my own understanding as much as yours).

As for Opening Bell, I've found it helpful to remember that the stock market operates as a zero-sum game.

Like poker or chess, one player's win means another player's loss.

Good morning, team. I'm Phil Rosen. Thanks to Succession, the last couple of Sundays have been tough to beat — but Wednesdays are no slouch either.

Happy Tuesday Opening Bell crew. I'm Phil Rosen — it's been a moment since we've checked in on the cryptocurrency sector.

Rest assured it's still humming along, with bitcoin seeing nearly a 70% gain in the first three months of the year.

Even meme token dogecoin saw a 20% jump late Monday after the Shiba Inu mascot replaced Twitter's bird logo.

Welcome back, readers. I'm Phil Rosen, writing to you from New York.

Now that it's April, we can say a spate of banks collapsed last month, but the repercussions of the crisis continue to unfold as if it all happened yesterday.

The chatter now centers around a looming credit crunch —  but the troubling part is that red flags were flying well before we heard a peep from Silicon Valley Bank.

Nothing's more fitting on a Friday than a dose of market optimism. Phil Rosen here.

Yes, it's true — the Nasdaq 100 officially closed 20% above its December low this week, which means we are technically now in a bull market.

No time to dawdle today — let's jump in.

Welcome to the weekend. I'm Phil Rosen.

Before we get to the news, I'd like to highlight a conversation I had with Katherine Jollon Colsher, the CEO of Girls Who Invest and a former Goldman Sachs exec.

The program collaborates with UPenn's Wharton business school, and it teaches college women the fundamentals of markets, portfolio management, and finance.
