The NFC Championship game will feature the San Francisco 49ers visiting the Philadelphia Eagles, with the winner earning a spot in Super Bowl LVII. Fox will broadcast the game live starting at 3 p.m. ET on January 29.
Philadelphia finished the season with the best record in the NFC and reached the NFC Championship game with an impressive win over their division-rival New York Giants. Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has been recovering from a shoulder injury he suffered on December 18 but will continue to lead the team during their playoff run.
San Francisco has been relying on rookie Brock Purdy after losing two starting quarterbacks during the season. Purdy was the absolute last pick in the 2022 draft but has been undefeated in eight straight games as the 49ers starter. The 49ers last went to the Super Bowl during the 2019-20 season under current coach Kyle Shanahan and lost last year's NFC Championship game to the Los Angeles Rams.
