A cruise ship worker was fired after a passenger alleged that he had filmed her from a toilet stall, news.com.au reported.

The passenger, Saja, shared a TikTok video of her telling a housekeeper on the MSC Meraviglia that a man in the stall had filmed her. The housekeeper and another passenger appear to try to confront the worker and can be seen banging on the door until he emerges.

The man, who was wearing an MSC Cruises uniform, then leaves the stall and can be heard saying "I was wrong."

A representative for MSC Cruises told news.com.au that the employee had since been fired.

Saja can be heard saying she went into the bathroom on the Meraviglia and "saw a camera pointed at me." The woman then asks the housekeeper to call security.

"Cruise employee filming women in restroom. 3rd reported incident that night," the caption reads. The video has had more than a million likes since being posted on Monday.

The passenger, who appears distressed in the video, wrote in a follow up TikTok post on Wednesday: "I have been contacted by authorities and have been informed that the gentleman in the video has been deported."

She added: "My goal is NOT to disgrace a cruise line for the acts of 1 of their employees. We had a great experience besides this incident & the other crew members were some of the best staff I had the privilege of meeting."

The MSC representative told news.com.au that its security team cooperated with authorities to investigate the incident. They added that the company had a "zero-tolerance policy for any misconduct" and took action to terminate the crew member's employment.

It was not clear where the incident took place, but the ship appears to have been based in Orlando during the winter for sailings to the Caribbean, according to the MSC website.

MSC Cruises didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from Insider, made outside normal working hours.
