Don Lemon is out at CNN

• The "CNN This Morning" co-anchor announced via Twitter that he was fired from the network.
• Lemon had spent 17 years at the network. 

Don Lemon has been fired from CNN, the star and network confirmed on Monday.

Lemon wrote on Twitter that he was "stunned" and that he found out he was terminated from CNN through his agent.

"At no time was I ever given the indication that I would not be able to do the work that I have loved at the network," he continued.

Meanwhile, CNN said they had "parted ways," according to a statement.
