I'd been working as a recruitment consultant in my hometown of Maidstone in Kent, England, for five years when I decided I was ready for a change.
I wanted to move on and progress in my career. I decided to not only swap jobs but also move countries and try something new.
In July, my partner and I moved to the United Arab Emirates, and we love it.
