It’s certainly disappointing that Dune: Part Two isn’t in theaters right now but sometimes waiting is the best part.

It’s been Denis Villeneuve’s plan since day one: adapt Frank Herbert’s epic sci-fi novel, Dune, in two parts, and then bring the story of Paul Atreides to a close with an adaptation of the follow-up, Dune Messiah.

With shifting release dates and mandated radio silence due to the Hollywood strikes, the buildup to Dune: Part Two has been nothing short of eventful.

Dune: Part Two just had its release date moved up. Unfortunately, that date is not “tomorrow” but we’ll take what we can get.
