Google is trying to lure employees back to the office by offering a special for its on-campus hotel in Mountain View, California. The special will run through Sept. 30 and is serving as another attempt for Google to establish the new norm of a hybrid work-from-home schedule.

Google, a company once known for its lavish and borderline absurd in-office perks like endless free meals and snacks, massages, yoga classes, and designated recreation areas, has fallen on hard times.

Amazon employees are petitioning CEO Andy Jassy to cancel his return-to-office mandate and calling out his about-face on remote work. In a petition to Jassy sent late Tuesday, Amazon workers decried that their trust in the company’s leaders had been “shattered.”

India is down to one Twitter office after CEO Elon Musk surprised employees in two of the three offices when he told them to work from home. The New Delhi and Mumbai offices were affected while the Bengaluru office located in Southern India was permitted to remain open.
