Reuters reports that the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace locals that cover workers at Boeing and fuselage supplier Spirit AeroSystems will be holding trainings Friday to better equip their members on rules and regulations regarding whistleblowing.
Boeing, the troubled aircraft manufacturer that makes most of the planes that Americans fly on, was the subject of an unsettling Congressional hearing Wednesday wherein multiple invited speakers accused the company of fostering a “safety culture” that is anything but safe.
The news for Boeing has been bad lately. Real bad. Ever since the press caught wind of reported safety issues involving the global plane manufacturer’s production process, the company can’t seem to catch a break.
