Imagine splurging $3,500 on a new Apple Vision Pro headset only to discover a few weeks later that your very expensive device now has a crack on the front of the screen—one you’re sure isn’t your fault.
Apple would prefer that newfound owners of its brand spanking new Vision Pro headset enjoy their “spatial computer” in the comfort of their home, hopefully, while they’re on the couch and far away from spike pits or other video game-esque traps. Of course, that’s not stopping the usual attention-hungry folks online…
Update 3:32 PM EST: 9to5macreports code has been spotted in today’s visionOS 1.1 beta update for the Apple Vision Pro headset that will allow users to erase all data on the device in case the unlock password is forgotten without having to bring it to an Apple Store.
