Employees at Google are not happy with how CEO Sundar Pichai has handled the company’s ongoing layoffs. Around 1,400 employees have signed a letter addressed to Pichai after Google announced it would be cutting 12,000 jobs in its largest round of layoffs yet.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said his company needs to run like a well oiled machine during this ongoing “Year of Efficiency.” Making sure that machine runs as “efficiently” as possible will require employees to expect the machine will chew them up and spit them out onto the curb.
Earlier this year, Amazon planned to lay off 18,000 employees. Now a leaked audio from the company appears to indicate that the company may regret that decision. In the audio, an HR executive chews on a strategy to rehire employees that have been laid off.
