Another round of layoffs is underway at Amazon, and for the second time, it’s happening at the company’s video games division.

Nextdoor, a popular neighborhood app, is prioritizing its “commitment to shareholders” over its commitment to employees by eliminating a quarter of its staff to meet shareholder expectations, the company said in a 2023 Q3 report Tuesday.

LinkedIn, the business social networking platform owned by Microsoft, announced Monday it is laying off 668 employees, amounting to more than 3% of its staff, as part of its alleged organizational restructuring efforts.

The video game company behind the massive battle royale game Fortnite is also fighting for its life. Epic Games is reportedly laying off 870 employees as well as selling some of its previous acquisitions.
